To get from the Fleurieu Penisula to Victoria we drove through Robe and because a lot of people told us that this seaside town was worth a stopover we decided to stay here one night during our roadtrip. From Victor Harbor we drove up north to get over the Murray River and of course take a picture in front of it:)
The night before we booked a room at the Motor Inn which is right in front of the Foodland supermarket and that turned out to be perfect for us. Not only was the room great with a dining area and a big plasma and dvd player ( dvd's are for rent at Foodland, 3 AUD per dvd ) but the owners...

On a short drive from the city you'll find the Adelaide Hills with lots of scenery, wine tasting and national parks. We decided to take a look at the Cleland Conservation Park which is located close to the Mt Lofty Summit, the mountain lookout that gives you an amazing hilltop panorama over Adelaide, the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills, the Fleurieu Penisula and the York Penisula.
At the Cleland Conservation Park you'll find all kinds of protected wildlife from the tasmanian devil and the koala to the kangaroo, emu and the yellow footed rock wallaby.
If you're around at 11.00 pm...
You can't visit South Australia without taking a look on Kangaroo Islannd and after looking through some visitor centre's guides we decided to go for a long weekend!
Kangaroo Island has 7 regions; West End, South Coast, North Coast, Kingscote District, The Heartland, American River and The Dudley Penisula where you'll arrive by ferry in Penneshaw.
