The Island of Ko Lipe is like a dream and not to be compared to any other Thai island which pretty much are a mix between beach activities, partying and foot massages which obviously is all great but Ko Lipe is something else!

Ko Phi Phi Don is probably the best known island of Thailand as many tourists from all over the world come here to celebrate the famous beach parties and visit the beautiful lagoons and bays.

We had some really great weather, luckily when touring the beautiful waters around the different islands and also on our snorkeling trip but I also remember spending one night at the beach at one of the many beach bars when it started to literally storm and they told me that the weather at Ko Phi Phi Don can be quite unpredictable. In Makaryev we made a short stop to visit the Makaryevo-Unzhensky monastery which was founded in 1439 and forms the main tourist attraction in Makaryev eventhough you will not encounter a lot of visitors compared to Kazan where we were before.

We had a guided tour of the Makaryevo-Unzhensky monastery which was interesting and returned to the ship for a nice lunch.
