Hillcrest Retreat amazing location

The most amazing location with the kind of service you usually find in a 5 star hotel, but this is a small bnb with only 2 rooms and 1 cottage.

we stayed in one of the bnb rooms - very comfortable, all mod cons including a/c, tv and big spa bath. the complimentary port in the evenings was a nice touch and breakfast was a huge production with eggs from their own hens and home made bread. loved the poached pears in local honey one day, then a fresh fruit platter for starters the next.

lots of local knowledge from hosts meant we spent most of our time enjoying all the little out of the way places that tourists don't usually find - so should have stayed longer so we could spend more time by the pool and just soaking up the views.

from the comments in their guest book we also should have ordered the in house candle lit dinner but it does need to be booked in advance so we left it too late.

all in all a really great place to stay in a beautiful part of the country with plenty to do if you want to and total peace and quiet with a lovely pool and views that have to be seen to be believed if you dont want to do a thing.
