Another train ride brought me to the southern coast of Sri Lanka leading from Bandarawela to Hambantota a coastal city near the Yala National Park which lies to its northeast. And this national park was the exact reason of my stay in Hambantota since the Yala National Park is known as one of the best places to spot elephants and other Sri Lankan wildlife. I travelled from Hambantota to a town called Tissamaharama where I stayed at the wonderful Hotel Chandrika which was more than great. The rooms were beautifully decorated with fresh towels and flowers every day and I loved relaxing at the pool after a day of safari. Hambantota was the first destination I visited on the South Coast and with my travel experience at Chandrika and the Yala National Park I started to think about how to plan the last days of my time in Sri Lanka and after seeing a lot of the inlands and the local wildlife I decided to spend some more time travelling along the coast and enjoying a bit of relaxation. Did you enjoy Hambantota Sri Lanka and have you been on a holiday in Hambantota, Sri Lanka?
