Tour around Lake Atitlan in Guatemala

These pictures are made at Lake Atitlan during my stay in Guatemala where I did a three months internship. One of the towns on the lake is Santiago Atitlán which will be the perfect place to stay at if you want to tour Lake Atitlan.

I travelled to Santiago Atitlán with a colleague as we were lucky enough to be invited by her parents to come over and stay for the weekend.

Trip to Santiago Atitlán

Santiago Atitlán is a beautiful town located on the bay right in between the two volcanoes of San Pedro and Toliman eventhough the town was named after a third volcano, the Atitlan volcano which is located more to the south.

If you take a look at the pictures below you will also find a minature map of Lake Atitlan and the position of the towns and volcanoes. The lake is best visited by boat and of course a local tour guide!
