From Saint Barthelemy we took a flight over the islands of Saba and Sint Eustatius which belong to the Netherland Antilles, and arrived in Basseterre, the capital of Saint Kitts and Nevis. Basseterre is a small town which can be explored in an afternoon of sightseeing and basically there are two main squares, The Circus and Independence Square. The first one is known for its Berkeley Memorial while the second is home to The Cathedral of The Immaculate Conception and the beautiful Independence Square fountain. Worth a visit are also the beaches, Frigate Bay is gorgeous, the St. George's Anglican Church on George St, just a stroll away from Independence Square and the local open air market. On the island you'll also be able to spot the curious wild Green Vervet monkeys which are really entertaining. Disliked: Basseterre is a small town so if you don't rent a car or take excursions around the island you can get bored after a few days.
