Less than 5 minutes to the beach Martineau House takes its name from Harriet Martineau, one of the great social reformers of the 19th century and an important local figure. Harriet lived in the house for almost seven years during the 1840s and wrote many of her most important works here. All our rooms are ensuite and well equipped.
