The three-hundred year old farm is situated above Cwmbach, Aberdare, with stunning views over the Dare Valley. Blaen-nant-y-groes Farm Cottages offer four-star quality holiday cottages. The stone and wood of the cottages have been restored to retain their traditional 'feel'. Flagstone floors on the ground floors and floorboards on the first floors have been re-laid to incorporate the comfort and efficiency of a modern underfloor heating and hot water system, complimented by double glazed hardwood windows and doors. For the winter there will be the luxury of a wood burning stove in each of the units. Situated on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the town of Aberdare is five minutes away. It has a covered market and a variety of shops including Tesco and Asda supermarkets. Swansea and the Gower coast are 40 minutes drive. Cardiff, the Millenium Stadium and Centre are 30 minutes drive and both Cwmbach and Aberdare railway stations are 5 minutes away with trains every 30 minutes to the capital. The market town of Brecon with its international jazz festival, agricultural and farmers market and antique shops, is 30 minutes away. Stunning views can be enjoyed from the windows of the south facing cottages which look directly across the valley and down to the twinkling lights of Aberdare. There is plenty of secure parking and each cottage has its own outside barbeque area with comfortable furniture where you can relax and enjoy summer and winter sunshine in peace and quiet.
