Ubajara might be the home to one of Brazil's smaller national parks but the nature in this area in the state of Ceara is really beautiful. The Ubajara National Park is known for the freshwater falls and amazing limestone rock formations which arise high above the rainforest. The most popular formation is called the Ubajara Grotto which can be accessed only by chairlift. Besides the ride up to the Grotto you can also follow several hiking paths through the rainforest which lead to some amazing waterfalls and small rock pools. You can wade through these waters to get through the forest but make sure you wear good shoes and leave your flip flops at home! Our guide told us there's a good chance to spot snakes and spiders in the Ubajar forest but luckily we didn't encounter anything to threathening. After a long hike we made it back to our chalets where we stayed for the next two days. Did you enjoy Ubajara National Park and The Grotto and have you been on a holiday in Ubajara, Brazil?
