Cuzco is the historical capital of Peru and located in the southeathern part of the country. The ancient ruins you'll find in the Cuzco Region are part of the ancient Inca Empire and are World Heritage Listed. We went to Cuzco for several days and got the chance to visit some of these ancient ruins in the towns of Sacsayhuaman, Pisac and Ollantaytambo. It might take a while to climb the enormous stairs of the old ruins in Ollantaytambo but once you're at the top it's so worth it! The view is amazing with this ancient valley beneath you. In Pisa we also visited the local market which was really nice. The colours on the market are incredible and the people have such great care for the way they look even they come from less fortunate homes and the kids are so playful an enthusiatic. You will definitely leave this place with a lot of good memories of the people and how friendly they are. Did you enjoy Ruins of Cuzco and have you been on a holiday in Cuzco, Peru?
