Game Drive Kuro to Tarangire Treetops

Our first game drive started right on the Kuro Airstrip where our guide Elly picked us up and made us all very enthusiastic for our first game drive!

He showed us a map of the park indicating the Kuro Airstrip and the route we were going to take all the way to our hotel making the transfer an exciting game drive.

Zebra's Tarangire National..

We drove in direction of our next accomodation the Tarangire Treetops lodge which is part of the Elewana Collection and a fabulous place to stay at if you're looking for a safari holiday. I will share pictures of Treetops is a different post as I highly recommend it.

I could not compliment Elly enough for he is an excellent driver guide and will be able to tell you all there is to know about the park and the stunning wildlife. He is a great story teller and a very warm person to be around so if possibile make sure you join his guided safari drives.

The Tarangire National Park is a beautiful park and famous for its gorgeous Baobab Trees. Of all Tanzania this will probably be the best place to get some great pictures of these trees as they decorate the horizon of Tarangire and are pretty much a symbol for the park.

It did not take long for us to get eye to eye with elephants, zebra's, giraffes, antelopes and some of the most incredible birds I've ever seen.

It was the perfect welcome to the savannah of Tanzania. Spotting the giraffes walking gently to the river and bending down to drink was a very special moment and while sitting in our car and observing these elegant creatures I realised how lucky we all were.

The game drive was a great way to head to Treetops and when we arrived there we were in for the next surprise, a lovely warm welcome by the staff and a very very special dinner awaiting us.
