A great place to camp out on the east coast of Australia is Nelson Bay which lies north of wellknow stops like Newcastle and of course Sydney:) After our time in Sydney we started driving in direction of Nelson Bay since some friends of us would be staying at the Halifax Holiday Park.  Travel Blog Nelson BayThis camping spot was great! We actually had wild parrots saluting us in the morning and there was enough space for all of our stuff and more. The camping spot in Nelson Bay turned out to be the perfect base for our time there and we really enjoyed hanging out at the beach and just enjoying Australia's east coast!
