For work I was in Chicago for two weeks and got to see a lot of downtown Chicago. Of course, two weeks isn't a lot for a holiday but I must say that it's enough for a city trip like mine. I really liked the Chicago Navy Pier area with the Giant Ferris Wheel, the great panoramic views of the city with its impressive skyscrapers and the nice esplanade which is great if you want to go for a stroll and get some fresh air away from hectic Chicago downtown. Of course we went for a ride on the Ferris Wheel which was the best and the view of the Chicago skyline was spectacular. The Navy Pier is also great when you're visiting Chicago with kids as there is enough amusement and entertainment along the pier. For example, you'll find the IMAX theatre, the Chicago Children's Museum and the Funhouse all within walking distance from eachother. Another great attraction in downtown Chicago is the Sears Towers which like the Ferris Wheel offers a great view of the city. As for work we had a very positive experience which left us with enough space and time to explore the city in the extra hours and weekends which was great. Did you enjoy Downtown Chicago Navy Pier and have you been on a holiday in Chicago, United States?
