Olinda is known as the smaller and more quite version of Recife, the bigger city in the south but both cities are world famous for their buzzling carnival celebrations. Carnival in Olinda or Recife can be just as lively, if not more, than the days of Carnival in Rio de Janeiro and Salvador de Bahia. Visiting Olinda and Recife therefor would be best in the February or the first weeks of March when you can get a tasty of this wild festival. At the time we arrived in Olinda the week of carnival had just passed but you could still see some of the street decorations. Did you enjoy The Carnival cities of Recife and Olinda and have you been on a holiday in Olinda, Brazil?
